Fast and Furious 6 – Official Movie Trailer 2013

It’s been 12 years since the original The Fast and the Furious.
12 years.
As remarkable as that sounds, this year will mark the release of the sixth film in the franchise.
Just as many as the Star Wars movies. Two more installments than the Indiana Jones films. Who would have thought that this street racing movie franchise would reach such impressive popularity? What’s even more impressive is that the last film Fast Five was undoubtedly the best film in the series yet. Besides having an interesting story and the presence of Dwayne The Rock, Johnson the film benefited from featuring characters from all four movies. Bringing together the eccentric characters from the world that was created with the previous films.
Few would argue that the Fast & Furious films are important works of cinematic art. But they are fun, escapist, crowd pleasing, action films. Popcorn flicks for lack of a better description. Very good summer popcorn films at that.
As a demonstration of the franchise’s popularity, last Sunday’s Super Bowl featured teaser trailers to some highly anticipated films such as Iron Man 3 and The Lone Ranger. But which movie garnered the most buzz at the water cooler the following day?
That would be Fast & Furious 6.
Capitalizing on that buzz, the filmmakers decided to release the full length teaser today, via their Facebook page. And not surprisingly, it looks like a lot of fun. As hard as it is to believe, this franchise looks like it has plenty of legs left. So be prepared for even more adventures for Dominic Toretto and crew in the future.

Fast and Furious 6 stars Vin Diesel, Dwyane Johnson, Paul Walker, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Gina Carano, Sung Kang, Gal Gadot, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Elsa Pataky and Luke Evans. The film is directed by Justin Lin and is scheduled for release May 24, 2013.

Official Synopsis:

Since Dom (Vin Diesel) and Brian’s (Paul Walker) Rio heist toppled a kingpin’s empire and left their crew with $100 million, our heroes have scattered across the globe. But their inability to return home and living forever on the lam have left their lives incomplete.
Meanwhile, Hobbs (Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson) has been tracking an organization of lethally skilled mercenary drivers across 12 countries, whose mastermind (Luke Evans) is aided by a ruthless second-in-command revealed to be the love Dom thought was dead, Letty (Michelle Rodriguez).
The only way to stop the criminal outfit is to outmatch them at street level, so Hobbs asks Dom to assemble his elite team in London. Payment? Full pardons for all of them so they can return home and make their families whole again.
