The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford is arguably the best film of the last decade. The film brims with slowly boiling tension, has some fantastic performances from Brad Pitt, Casey Affleck and the entire cast and also features some of the most stunning and beautiful visuals that rivals the work of Terrence Malick. So news that director Andrew Dominik would follow up that critically acclaimed film this year with Killing Them Softly has been met with eager anticipation.
Judging from this first trailer we are in for some more impressive work. Crime, violence, and character musings on the nature of humanity. Count me in.
