Wanderlust – 2012 Movie Trailer

I’m a big fan of Judd Apatow movies. His troupe of performers and their comedic stylings, just appeal to all my inappropriate comic sensibilities. His films have that right amount of raunch and harmless fun that keeps me entertained, even after repeat viewings. Sure there are other filmmakers, like the Farrelly Brothers and occasionally the Happy Madison crew, who’s humor can get raunchy, but their films generally tend to get a little too silly for my tastes. The latest Apatow produced film, WANDERLUST stars Frat Pack veteran Paul Rudd. And the ingenue for the film? Why that would be the charming Jennifer Aniston. Not only will audiences will be keeping an eye on this film but I’m sure gossip magazines will also be, since her current beau, Justin Theroux also stars in the film.

All the trademark Apatow hijinks are here in the trailer. Obviously, there’s a lot of mileage that can be played with the yuppie out-of-water premise. The hippie mentality also provides plenty of opportunities for the naughty, comedic, raunch . The last bit in the trailer is always a favorite of mine.

Wanderlust stars Paul Rudd, Jennifer Aniston, Malin Akerman, and Justin Theroux. The film is directed by David Wain and is written by Ken Marino and David Wain. Wanderlust is scheduled for release February 24, 2011.

George (Rudd) and Linda (Aniston) are an overextended, stressed out Manhattan couple. After George is downsized out of his job, they find themselves with only one option: to move in with George’s awful brother in Atlanta. On the way there, George and Linda stumble upon Elysium, an idyllic community populated by colorful characters who embrace a different way of looking at things. Money? It can’t buy happiness. Careers? Who needs them? Clothes? Only if you want them. Is Elysium the fresh start George and Linda need? Or will the change of perspective cause more problems than it solves?
